Connor Griffin, an athlete gay at Fordhman catholic university got accepted in his team when he joined the university last summer. After he got publicly encouraged online by people he never met ,for presenting himself as a gay in a catholic university.Griffin does not want to acknowledge that being gay is being brave. He even claimed that that he was born that way and that he didn't choose to be that way.It is big deal for religious schools to have homosexuals in their instutions because of their reputations they try to preserve.Mark Emmert the NCAA's president says:“The association entrusts its board of governors, a group of mostly university presidents, to establish the core principles and values by which they want to conduct college sports.” According to the title IX, there should be freedom in every school regardless of the sex and gender. Trangenders should be protected in every religious school.

I thing everyone is free to choose what they want to be. religious do not have anything to do with school
ReplyDeleteI think whatever path he chooses to follow is his decision but taking him off his school team because he is gay is a bad thing. It is his life and that's what he wants so he should be free to do it.
